Community Mobilization and Peace-Building

Our programs are tailored towards bringing both the family and the community together in discussing issues that affect them in order to explore a way forward. We believe that problems identified communally are also problems solved communally. The essence is to foster a sense of mutual responsibility and respect among all the community members and promote peace and unity through sensitive conflict management.

In its programs, BUF takes into account the various communal challenges posed, inter alia, by diverse ethnicities and past historical conflicts in our region. Therefore, we advocate for social harmony and tranquility within our local communities. This also refers to peace within people’s homes. We are engaged in peace campaigns through radio magazines and community outreach programs. We have also promoted information dissemination about peace and unity to the communities through mobile camps.
